Fred Daly Golf Grand Prix
We are very proud to announce that we have partnered with the PGA (Irish Region, Northern Branch) to take over from Ping and sponsor the 2011/12 PGA Ulster Grand Prix. Fred Daly Golf has long had a history in the competitive game and we are very excited to be able to return to our roots in Professional Golf and support a unique event which develops both Professional and elite Amateur golf in Northern Ireland.
This prestigious series features Ulster's top Professionals and brightest Amateur talents; hand-picked by the GUI to play in the events. Conceived initially to afford Professionals the chance to play with other Professionals in the winter, and also to allow the trainee Professional to play with qualified members of the association, it has grown to incorporate a very exciting partnership with the GUI, giving Ulster's leading Amateurs the opportunity of developing their skills in competition against the Professionals. With Tour players such as Damian Mooney and Simon Thornton supporting the events it also gives them an insight in the requirements to play the PGA tours.
The tournament format has six qualifying events, held at local courses with prize money for each - and from these the players qualify for the Finals - Match play held over two days.

We are looking forward to supporting the series and look forward to seeing some fantastic golf played! If you would like to come along to watch any of the events you would be very welcome - they are free and as well as seeing us on the greens at the event where we will be supporting the players, you will have a great opportunity to follow the players on the fairways and get close in on the action.
